Resilience is our capacity to rebound after something negative has happened, and our ability to process those events in a healthy way. We all start out being very resilient – as babies, we learn by making mistakes. As we get older, we may become more or less resilient to the things life throws at us – not only failures, but setbacks, tragedy, disappointment, and loss. We can still build our resilience though! There are ways to become more resilient, which will help you adapt and bounce back from negative events in your life. This book is all about coming back from terrible, life-shattering experiences. This is the COO of Facebook, and she wrote another book called Lean In, which I also recommend! I think you’ll like this one, and it speaks to perseverance in the face of adversity.
