Does any of this sound familiar?
- I’m struggling with getting along with people at work (home, life).
- I need a hobby.
- I have a hard time managing my time.
- Adulting is hard.
- I want to add more creativity to my life.
- I have no goals (and/or what are goals?).
- I never have time for myself.
- I don’t believe in myself.
- I want to be a better human.
If any of that resonates with you, you’ve come to the right place.
I’m Dianne Whitford, and at Coffee, Grit, and Inspiration (CGInspo for short – you’re welcome) I am all about collecting and providing ideas, opinions, knowledge, and maybe a little tough love to help you grow your grit and find your inspiration(s).
The coffee is up to you, unfortunately, though I do talk about it a lot.
Why here?
My goal for CGInspo is to create a community of people all here for a common purpose: to learn, grow, and become better humans.
To me, being a better human means:
- Caring for myself as much as I care about others.
- Finding ways I can make myself a better person and the world a better place to be in, because I was in it.
- Doing what I can to help others be happy, emotionally and physically healthy, and continually, always, always inspired.
Origins
To know what you’ll find here, it might help to know a little more about me and where I come from.
I was born…
No. That will take too long. Because: old.
Here’s the shorter version:
I do a lot of research. I am always looking for new approaches, or new hobbies to try, or new thoughts to think about. I have a driving desire to share information and inspire people. I am a passionate person with lots of opinions. I strive for authenticity, love fiercely, speak my truth, and I show up.
I’ve spent the greater part of my professional life researching, learning about, teaching, and practicing concepts such as time management, how to build relationships, how to communicate, how to mediate and create alignment, how to practice self-care, and how to just keep going when it seems like everything is falling apart around me. I have had the privilege of meeting and learning from some truly wonderful and inspiring people, and I hope to do that x1000 here.
Personal Life
I’ve got a wonderful husband and fantastic son. I have a real-life job that I love, where I practice what I preach about on Coffee, Grit and Inspiration. I also keep a personal blog, which provides me with a lot of my own inspiration as well as gives me a much-needed outlet for all the thoughts and ideas tumbling around in my head.
I know I have so, so much more to learn.
I also know that I have a lot to share.
I’m hoping that here, with you, I can do both!
